The painting by the Italian artist Sandro Botticelli, was executed in the mid 1480s anddepicts the goddess Venus arriving at the shore after her birth, when she had emerged from the sea fully-grown

The cabinet is hand painted with gold gild and has black stripes cascading from the top and down the front

The interior has two shelves that are painted in a stunning blue, mirroring the sky in the print, and these have gold gilded stripes
